I've been trying some new techniques in the world of hand painting and piping flowers directly onto cookies rather than making transfers (RI or fondant). I loved the softness of how this cookie turned out. The background is a variety of petal dusts combined to create a watercolor look. I was happy with the result . It was so much fun to stretch a little outside my comfort zone to try something different than my usual design style. I must admit, however, that after practicing piping flowers several times before actually piping them onto the cookie I was still really nervous about making the first petals. LOL. It's so much easier to stay with the "usual" style rather than to stretch my decorating techniques into an area that's scary to me

Oh, gosh, just read your comment! You did an absolutely stunning job with piping them directly onto the cookie! Just fabulous. You know, I actually thought the small ones were fondant... So perfect! Just amazing ❣️ ❣️ ❣️ ❣️ ❣️

You are so sweet! I have a long way to go with piping flowers onto cookies but it's fun so I think that developing this technique will become a new goal
