I was really stretched with this, but I'm so thankful to have tried it. As you can see, my techniques are not perfect but I tried 5 different ways to do the lace. 1st on each cookie I hand piped the lace effect with white (mostly dots). 2nd I tried a needle point style with the paisley shaped tear drops and the cross hatched effect in the farthest left cookie, I painted the inside and outside to accentuate the effect, on each. 3rd I painted eyelets and did water color type shading to mimic antique lace. Next I made lace in 3 different styles using molds. I don't have any of the cool SugarVeil molds (yet) so I used objects on hand, modeling tools, and fondant molds to shape fondant and then "gathered" it as I would fabric and created a lace, ruffle effect. The bows are made from fondant and a mold. I'm really grateful for this challange and have learned so much!

Pretty! You classified these as "rubber-stamped" too, and was curious to know which parts are stamped? Thanks.

Hi Julia, the little bows are rubber stampted and the bottom center cookie's blue and purple (gathered) lace were formed in a mold. Now that I think about it, is that what "rubber-stamped" even means!?! hehe If not, feel free to take that off!

WOW!  I LOVE how you really stretched yourself, Kim and tried so many different kinds of lace.  You really took this challenge to heart, and the result is a beautiful set of cookies!

It looks like the bows are molded fondant (fondant pressed into a mold), not fondant or icing stamped with a rubber stamp and food coloring, which is what is meant by "stamping" on this site. Is that right?

Yes! They are both molds. Sorry.
