Santa ala Marlyn's tutorial

Santa ala Marlyn's tutorial
I'm so happy with Marlyn's teaching. I would have never figured this out on my own! Now I just need to find black sugar pearls that don't bleed. Thanks Montreal Confections!!!

Tutorial from Marlyn at Montreal Confections and cookie cutter from Truly Mad Plastics.  I have curly hair so I felt compelled to make Santa have a curly beard!  This was a really fun project...my husband's co-workers will be the happy recipients of my labor.

Thanks Julia - after they were all the way finished I didn't think it glared out at me the way it did before I had the eyebrows on and the "fur" on the edge of the hat.  It kind of gave them a little depth ;-)

I agree! Looks good!

Very good! I had made my owns Santas just after I saw the tutorial and since I don't have black sugar pearls either I used black sugar icing instead. It didn't bleed and looked good.

I made another batch of these and also used piped black icing.  Worked beautifully!
