Inspired by the wonderful lavender cookie recently posted by Magadiuz. I need a bit more practice on the wooden plank style background, though

And when I saw Honeycats amazing painted Hollyhocks I just knew I had to make some hollyhocks cookies, too. As I am not good with brush & pen on such an unforgiving media as a cookie, I chose piping instead.

beautifully done Laegwen!  I am not good with the plank look but I try doing it.  I had thought of just making it smooth and draw a line (try to that is) to separate the planks.  lol  Yeahhhhh, you know it, all I do is think about doing something.  lol  But this is what happens, I try it, hate it, cry a lot, forgetaboutit!  lol

Thanks, that's what it was supposed to look like  Though I wanted a little more structure...

Just keep on, Dona. You know - practice bakes/ices perfect

Inspiration!

Thanks, Heidi! Oh, I do have a few more ideas

Classic line: roses, lillies, sunflowers, phlox, petunias, creeping geranium

Exotic line: bougainvillea, oleander, hibiscus, jasmine, thistle, campanula

I still have some ready planked cookies left, one or two of the above mentioned will make it on them.

Merci bien  I am also kind of fond of the hollyhocks - thoug it is considerably harder to turn a cookie while piping flowers than a flower nail...
