The Year of the Dragon

The zodiac of 2024 is Dragon.

Happy New Year, everyone. I hope you started a great year with cookies and icing in your hand.

I am too busy to go out anywhere this new year holiday in Japan but I could have some time to make cookies! This is a wonderful start for me.   

The dragon grabs a rainbow (hope and dream) and goes up with a ball that has a logo of my company. Actually I made this cookie for the website of my company.

I wish you are going to have more chances to make cookies, more clips here than last year and make us happy and smile.

Great to see you and your delightful cookies, Ryoko. I hope your factory suffered no damage with the earthquake. I also learned of the plane crash in Tokyo last night too - it has been a trying start of the year for Japan, that's for sure. I hope all of your friends and family remain safe. XOXO

Hi @Icingsugarkeks Gabi    I really hope I am going to have some more time for cookies!  Now I remember how messy to handle "red" color.

Thank you for your concirn, @Julia M. Usher   Our factory did not get any damage from the recent earthquake and tunami.   I told my husband, we are going to stay home during winter holiday (New Year) and actually I did not go out from my house and good thing he didn't plant to use Haneda on that day when the planes crashed.  One of them was trying to carry needed things to disaster areas.  One of our towns, that is very close to the station got fire last night.....   we really started a rough year.

My husband was really happy when I am making cookies @carouselselsel, @Manu biscotti decorati and @Julia M. Usher  because I am quiet.   He really had calm and peaceful winter holiday.

Wow!! This is so awesome dear Ryoko @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave.!! I love the colors and the way you piped the dragon. It's the perfect color and looks great with the stippling of the background color. Such a wonderful idea to add the logo of your company into the design! I love it .
