Goodness Tunde!  I almost missed this set.  You are amazing!  I love them.  Not knowing where to start designs like these, I'm stuck in a rut and stumped.  lol  Truly beautiful work.

Thank you all for the nice comments.

You start this kind of design with the right icing consistency. It makes a huge difference!

Then you practice to pipe dots, drops, lines and curves. All these intricate designs are just a combination of these easy, simple patterns.
Then you start piping with your main motif (trace the heart in the middle for example) and fill the rest with some complementing design elements.
Once you start doing it it's easy and fun. (You may want to start with smaller hearts though )

The red base color is an egg yolk glaze that I paint on the cookies after baking. One egg yolk, 1 tbsp milk and gel food color (I use Americolor super red).

i bought your book and it looks very interesting.  I'm off my feet for a few days so I'm going to read it a few times and then try it out when I'm allowed to bake again.

I hope the book will help you get through those days fast and you can start baking again soon! <3

I'll let you know how they turn out.

These are stunning. I still have much practice to do. When I try to do curls and swirls, it looks a mess. I have such a hard time getting the icing to the right consistency to get nice crisp lines. These are so lovely. Thank you for all the information. I hope there is a digital edition of your book available!

Curls and swirls are the hardest, but with some practice you will master them too. There is no digital edition of the book, because it has a lot of pictures with explanation and the digital book formats can not handle this many pictures with matching texts. They mess it up completely.
