A recent unique project...creating an airplane themed set of cookies as part of a going away work party. Airplanes! The wheels began turning about the possible designs that would best ifit this occasion. As usual, I began by brainstorming the various elements about the theme. The process evolves from there as the research begins.
My customer wanted chocolate chip cookies as well regular sugar cookies. I had found a great recipe by Georganne Bell (LilaLoa) that I have made on several occasions for family and friends but not for any customers. Here's the link to her recipe: https://www.lilaloa.com/2017/11/chocolatechip.html. It's yummy and rolls out very flat if you decorate the cookies on the backside of the cookie. The response from my customer was VERY positive...comments like "they went so fast" and "the person leaving the company was impressed by the design and flavor" made my face light up with a big smile .
I love such unique occasions like this that give me the opportunity to challenge myself with creating unique designs. Of course, one of Julia's recent stencil sets with the hot air balloons was perfect for creating a sky with clouds effect on one of the cookie designs!! Thank you, Julia @Julia M.
