I applied two coats of luster dust to some cookies and after sitting over night they are still very sticky. Why are they not drying? I placed them in front of a fan about an hour ago but I fear drying the cookie out. It is not that humid here as I am in Az. Any suggestions, ideas and/or tips would be appreciated.

What brand are you using?
Typically I use almond extract for luster and disco dust, personally.
Vodka or alcohol extracts. Verify if your extracts contain alcohol, because I experienced an exctract that lost the alcohol and was more like wáter. It dryes in a few hours.
Thank you for your replies. I used vodka as I always have in the past without trouble. This batch just seemed to NEVER want to dry.
Thanks again.
Is it a new brand?I don't know how to help you, it has to dry sooner or later so hang tight.
I always dry dust my luster, unless I airbrush a pearl finish too sometimes. But I like the lustre sheen better by dusting.

By disco dust do you mean the really glittery, non-toxic/non-edible glitters? I usually just use that on wet icing and let it dry (because I have no qualms with eating plastic if it makes my cookies pretty haha).
How does the glitter mix with the extract? I would think it would be too gritty, instead of making a paint texture with the lustre dusts. Hopefully that made some bit of sense haha.
