By now, you've likely seen our glorious October site art swirling (literally!) about the site! (I've been distracted by The Bake Fest prep, so I'm a little tardy getting this forum intro up.) The underlying coffee-and-candle cookie art was created by the super-talented @Ewa Kiszowara MOJE PIERNIKI around this time last year, and because it evokes the coziness of autumn so perfectly, @Icingsugarkeks (aka Gabi) and I just couldn't resist selecting it as this month's featured art!
As usual, Gabi added her own mesmerizing touches to Ewa's cookie photos, as you'll see in the fully animated banner image with swirling coffee and flickering candle. I love it all, so I thank you, Ewa and Gabi! Here are closer views of the banner and background images so you can better appreciate the cookies' lovely painted details and Gabi's meticulous animation that required stringing together 48 different views (!) of Ewa's cookies . . .
Ewa is a longstanding member of Cookie Connection, having joined the site in 2017, and, not surprisingly, this feature isn't her first of this kind. Her beautiful cookie art was last showcased at the end of 2020. At that time, I conducted an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview with Ewa, which I encourage you to read to get to know her better. Please also explore her impressive Cookie Connection portfolio, member profile, Facebook page, and bio directly below. Thanks again to Ewa and Gabi for putting our site so fully in the fall spirit this month! ❤️
Ewa Kiszowara comes from Poland, and has been running the blog Moje Pierniki for ten years. She worked as a teacher for 39 years and now spends all of her time decorating cookies. Cookie decorating is her passion and love. She conducts cookie training sessions, workshops, and shows. She is constantly developing her workshops and skills, paying close attention to her cookie passions: painting on royal icing and portraits.

Last but not least, for those of you who are wondering how to get featured, it's easy! Simply read these posts here and here. Remember: Site artists not only get their work featured prominently for a full month, but they also get profiled in a forum post like this one and in an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview. All considered, it's a lot of great free PR in exchange for photo sharing! When preparing your site art, please bear in mind that I already have artwork through all of 2024 and 2025, thanks to @Icingsugarkeks, but she is currently at work on material for 2026. So don't hesitate to submit your cookies at any time. Please also remember that Icingsugarkeks is available to help you get your photos in the right format, so feel free to contact her if you need assistance! You can send her a PM right here on Cookie Connection by clicking on her name (in pink) above.
