This month's site art is just in time for Mother's Day, and it couldn't be a more endearing tribute to moms everywhere! Let's give a large round of applause to our May site artist, the very talented @Bożena Aleksandrow, who was most recently featured back in April 2022. Isn't her May artwork absolutely charming?!

Bożena has been a longstanding contributor to Cookie Connection, having joined the site in July 2017, so it's quite likely that you're already very familiar with her and her work. @Bożena Aleksandrow is a passionate hobbyist cookie decorator from Warsaw, Poland. In 2014, she started her decorating adventure, which, at the time, was a type of therapy for her in the course of life. Bożena also likes to decorate cakes for her friends and family. Her beginnings in decorating were not easy, and her first works were not delightful. However, Bożena did not get discouraged; instead she persisted and improved her technique. She did not take any courses, but, through trial and error, she became more skilled, confident, and professional. Bożena specializes in lace and floral styles, but she is familiar with other techniques, such as the decoration of 3-D cookies. She is also constantly developing her skills by watching the work of Julia M. Usher and others in the Cookie Connection community. Each work she creates gives her and others great joy and satisfaction. These successes motivate her to take up new challenges. Her family and fans on her Facebook page, Piernikowy Zawrót Głowy, are a great support to her endeavors.
