Lovely! The leaves are so delicate! One reminder though: You need to select the "Practice Bakes Perfect Challenge" clip set/category in order to get officially entered in any challenge, as we might not otherwise see your photo. (It's not enough just to use "Practice Bakes Perfect Challenge" in your sub-title.) I stumbled upon your entry, fortunately, and so put it in that clip set for you. But please try to remember this for the next challenge, as there is no guarantee that I will catch a misclassification at any time. Thank you!

What beautiful, elegant set of cookies this is! I am amazed by the level of detail, especially in the leaves. It seriously looks like you made impressions of real leaves in wet cement or plaster. Please tell us, when you say you painted with royal icing, did you thin the icing? And, for the leaves, are the leaves painted, but their veins piped? The result is so realistic. Truly impressive!

Thank you for these kind words ... I painted the leaves with icing, such density as to feel the background (rather thin), veins too. I used a thin 10/0 brush and I just painted icing like paint. it's tedious, but the effect is nice😊
