The 3 Kings Day always marked the end of the Season in our home when I was a kid. On January 6 all Christmas decorations were removed and with it came the feeling that the New Year would commence in earnest very soon…
In the light of this, I feel I can still get away with sneaking these cookies in in the last minute, so to speak. They were supposed to be done sooner, but took so much longer than anticipated… I think my age is catching up on me, as I had to take frequent breaks from going around and around... 55 ellipses per cookie… it actually made me dizzy 😂!
Anyway, I want to wish each one of you a most wonderful Happy New Year, filled with tons of love 💖, because “Love is the bridge between you and everything.” - Rumi
55 ellipses!!!! You are amazing!! Congratulations ❤️
Yes, there are 10 ellipses per cookie base, and an extra one added on top of the next one going toward the center, so that the innermost ellipse has 10 ellipses stacked on top of each other...
Those ellipses are flawless, such an amazing labour of love! The whole set is absoluelty unique as everything you do! I wish you all the best Sonja, Happy New Year ❤️

Thank you ever so much, Evelin @Evelindecora 😘 💖❣️ A very Happy New Year to you and your family as well, my dear friend 🎉🎊!
Oh what perfection dear Sonja @iSugarfy (aka swissophie)!! As always, your attention to detail is evident in each cookie design. You've created such dimension with your perfect piping (wow, all of those ellipses would make me more than dizzy ). No wonder it was a longer timeline to complete!! Gorgeous work my dear friend ❤️❤️❤️
Happy New Year! May this year bring you countless blessings, joy, good health, much happiness and many more cookie masterpieces
@Swissophie - These are super cool. Unfortunately, however, they do not fully comply with all of the rules for the challenge. Specifically, Rule #1 states that "All cookies in the set must also be the same color...":
1. Create aset of five (5) or more cookies using the monochrome technique and all royal icing. Your set of cookies (even if you have more than five) must consist entirely of monochrome cookies. All cookies in the set must also be the same color, and all decorations on the cookies must be made with royal icing.
This set would qualify for the challenge if you re-photograph, excluding the four L-O-V-E cookies. This set is a great example of what I would hope people would do with their newly acquired monochrome skills AFTER the challenge, but this is not appropriate for the challenge, and therefore, I will have to disqualify this entry. I definitely encourage you to take another photo and re-submit!

One more thing - I have removed this clip from the challenge clip set, but have left it on Cookie Connection, as there is absolutely no reason to delete this clip! It is an amazing set, whether or not it is included in the challenge!

I concur with Bakerloo, @iSugarfy (aka swissophie) - I really hope you'll resubmit these cookies to the challenge with a new photo! Great set!

My bad, Christine @Bakerloo Station! I should have re-read the rules before starting on these. Only had the pics of RH Bake with the black and white cookies in my head...
But since I don't enter your challenges for a price, just for the sake of participating (and that I did, even when disqualified), I'm all good, and won't be re-submitting this (don't care for the pig cookie too much !).
Thanks so much again and again, for all the hard work you do for these challenges. You're greatly appreciated! A very Happy New Year to you and yours!!!

Thanks so much for your kind comment, dear Julia @Julia M. Usher 💖💖💖! But I really don't like the pig cookie too much, so I'm good .
Thanks again so much for all you do, Julia, and a very Happy New Year to you and yours!!!

Thank you for understanding. And I can now see how you could be thrown off by that RH Bake example. Thank you for always being such an enthusiastic challenge participant. I do hope inspiration strikes you a second time and you have a chance to submit another challenge entry, as there is still so much time!
