IMG_3930IMG_3906A very unusual choice of colors for me! But the challenge forced me to understand the color chart much better.

These embroidery cookies began with design ideas from a free embroidery site - searching for something that reminded me of summer.

After I studied the color chart I  decided my color scheme,( I chose warm,) I mixed my colors adhering to that chart! Of the posted colors I left out the pink on the far left because it actually set too cool.

Then  I sketched and flooded each pattern before I began the actual embroidery work to give the objects some dimension.

Tina, this is such a great set with the crewel work style of piping the shapes. Very challenging to do well and you've executed it beautifully. Awesome job

I really appreciate your comment. It was truly a challenge for me.

GORGEOUS set, Tina!  I can only imagine how long it took to do all of those individual "stitches"!  Your warm tones have such a great vintage-y feel, too. This is such a fantastic addition to the challenge!

Thank you for giving us a reason to push ourselves to be better Cookiers.

Oh Tina, these are beautiful.   You more than stepped up to the challenge.  What a great idea to look for inspiration in needlework. And yes, it must've taken hours to stitch these cookies!          Pip

The hours are in thinking what to do to challenge myself, finding something suitable, readying the cookies and the colors ( which was another challenge)! I love piping so although tedious it is very relaxing for me and I lose track of time.

Amazing! Luv the colors and how clean your stitches came out! I have never tried this technique yet, but perhaps you are inspiring the next PBP challenge lol? This is so beautiful!

I went tipless for lack of PME 1 tips then later thought ( of course my brain is on sleep mode) to slip the bags in and out of another bag and clean just clean the 2 PME 1s I own.  But that would have been really laborious ! It would have been cleaner with a tip, I believe.
