I started baking in 1987 when I got married, I have not stopped since even if we kept moving countries or just houses because of my husband's job. Decorating came a little later and that's when I get the most fun. I operated at hone but two years ago my son finished college, business management and experimented on opening a cafe, Mrs Q's Cafe, that's my business name. Even if Filipinos are not cookie eaters, our clients buy our cookies as presents for their friends and little ones. I love to learn and teach for free, specially with the out of school youth. I teach the basics just for them to have a feel and if they are really into it I introduce them to my friends who has cake businesses for them to train and then hire. God has been good to us and this is how we pay forward. Btw, a group of ladies I belong to, are decorating 3000 cookies for valentine to sell and proceeds will go to the Hainan Typhoon victims. It's heart shape and title is Buy a heart, build a house! May God be with us In this project.
