My background is somewhat different from most other cake artists.  I was born and raised in Naples, Italy, I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art and Graphic Design. I started out as a graphic designer working in my own graphic design studio. While I had interest in the career of graphic designer I also loved cooking and baking for family and friends. After moving to the United States to follow my husband's Navy career and after starting a family, I had a creative catharsis and soon I began playing with fondant and cake decorating. I was very excited to find that I could apply all the skills I have acquired over the years from my art degree, as well as my career path in design and merge it with my love of culinary arts. When I began experimenting with cakes and saw that I could do something that brought a smile to people’s faces, I realized that that’s what I wanted to do in life.
