I have decorated cookies for years using melted candy wafers, making various designs, mostly flower designs .  Would like to learn to use Royal Icing, but can seem to get the right consistency,  Semi-retired, active with church, family, friends, crafts, and of course -- cookies.  I make cookies for family parties and Helping Hands through church for people that need meals brought to them.
