I first made the NFSC recipe when my boys turned one. The icing was just water, confectionary sugar, and vanilla. But I remember thinking I wanted cookies that looked like what I saw in magazines, etc. It took me awhile, but two Easter's ago I tried royal icing. Been dabbling with it ever since!
