When it comes to pricing something this intricate.. where do you begin?
I haven't priced it because I don't sell my cookies, but the pricing principles I'd use are the same as always - compute total costs (including all of your time as labor), and then mark up to cover overhead costs and to make a decent profit. Since there aren't really too many market comparables for something like this, I would probably skip the step of asking if it's reasonably priced relative to my competition, and just use the cost-based pricing with no market check. We have a number of great articles about pricing on this site, under the Business of Cookies section of the Blog, that you might want to check out.
Oh my goodness! It looks like a music box! This is amazing. I cannnot even imagine how you accomplished this. I scrolled down and found your video. Love it !

So creative and so beautiful, as always! This is such a showpiece Will you save this cookie?
Thanks! I may only because I may be teaching it very soon. I tend to throw out most everything (if it's too old to be eaten) because I just don't have the storage space.

I think I could only eat the practice pieces or the mistakes. Can you not sell, donate or give them away? I'll bet there are thousands of cookie lovers who would love to own a Julia M. Usher original.

You can't donate handled food here (it's been handled a fair bit by the time the shoot is done); I suppose I could sell them but that's just one more thing I would have to do, and I don't want to give people the impression I am baking for sale again. I closed that business now almost 10 years ago, and I don't want to risk inching back into it for a number of reasons.
