A Little Village on a Tray| Manu

This is a variation of the beautiful little house (here) that I've learned to made at @Evelindecora's class last month.

I made this "little village" for the 3rd annual Christmas cookie exchange organized by my friend Rachel. We were 18 people attending this year, each one had to exchange four cookies so just the number of cookies that makes up this house. We don't have this tradition in Italy and I am really happy to have had this opportunity, during these years.
This is the tray of wonders that I brought home.

It was a labour of love. And I couldn't do all of that work without having attended your class.❤️

It is really a nice tradition. We had a little luncheon and then all the cookies were displayed and we had to fill up our trays. Unfortunately I had to go right after the luncheon and my friends filled my tray with all that wonderful cookies. So this year I enjoyed only half of the fun.

Thank you Tina! It is surrounded by such a nice variety of cookies, all labour of love. This was another chance to decorate cookies, and Evelin's house was just perfect for Christmas.

Yes, they did and I did appreciated all the cookies they made, that's why I shared the "tray of wonders" with you. For a "decorated cookie lover" like me it is really luxury to have Evelin living in the same area. I am learning so much from her and she is really a wonderful person.

You got so many!!!  I do not think you can eat them all by yourself.  Can I visit you? 

Leave one of your house for me!!  You are so good at making small things neatly and beautifully.

Thank you, Ryoko! No, I couldn't eat all of that sweet all by myself! Usually we swap 6 cookies, but we cut to four as we were a good number of people. That makes 72 cookies in total to be baked by each person rather than 108. If the cookieXperson were 6 then I would have prepared something different. Even if I have to say that the house is made up by 4 cookies not counting the tiny trees, wich hardly make a cookie all together. But believe me, flooding those little ones took me a lot of time!

I understand what you mean.  If I were you, I would destroy small trees with my fingers after flooding them.
