A little early for Mother's day, but the good thing compared to cakes: cookies actually keep for ages

And as my Mam never wants to eat the cookies I make her, I have made a little extra she might actually use. Matching sugar cubes:

I have practiced piping flowers so much over the last two weeks, that I start to finally like how they come out. The only take back is my right hand. As I suffer from Carpal-Tunnel-Syndrom, pressure piping puts quite a strain on it. So now I have swollen fingers and a sting in my wrist *lol*

How beautiful, Laegwen! And what a nice idea the sugar cubes!

Ouch!!! That sounds really awful Laegwen...it's always hard when doing what you love to do causes pain of ANY kind.

Ah, yes, butter cookies are getting even better with age, really develop their flavor only after a month or so ! So all of you who sell their cookies and stress themselves out to make them fresh at the last moment... take heart... take it easy . Do make them ahead of time, store them in tin, and they will be all the more enjoyed .
