Chickaboom!

I’ll admit off the bat, I don’t love this cookie.  I wanted to do something Easter related and the vision I had didn’t quite come together.  However, royal icing transfers are the only reason I was able to decorate 150 of these cookies.  This has been a week with all sorts of non-cookie issues that kept me occupied.  I had very little time to devote to cookies this week and fortunately, I had made the transfers well in advance.  The entire chick and egg are a single transfer.  I just had to pipe/fill the blue background and plop it in.  I did have a few broken wings but fortunately I made enough extra.
My piping was a lot sloppier than I would have preferred but at least I finished.  This week that needs to be reward enough for me!

Congrats on keeping up with this noble commitment in the face of other constraints! Impressive!

Thank you for your kind words. Most weeks it’s a joy. But other weeks, the wheels come off the wagon. I know you know how this goes. Still, we find a way to get to our destination !😝

Thank you Christine. I will say, they do taste good. I used Julia’s @Julia M. Usher lemon cardamom recipe with lemon extract in the icing. Several recipients have designated that combo as their favorite. ❤️🍪
