Challenge #3 – Color - was very challenging for me!  It took a long time for me to come up with anything other than a mandala or southwestern jewelry.  I’m not familiar enough with either style to come up with an original design. Normally, I would find a downloadable image but, since it needs to be an original design, I had to go the traditional route.  I made the bird’s eye and beak with edible marker but then piped over it with the rust.  I couldn’t remember the exact rule, which is where I tend to get into trouble.  I decided to not push it!

Absolutely beautiful, I love the colors you used!  The texture you used gives them movement that I love.

Thank you so much Julie. There is definitely leeway in the colors because there are no ratios listed. Leaves it up to each of us to come up with something. I’m pleased with how my shades turned out.😃❤️

These colors are gorgeous in the way that they have been presented - both on the individual cookies and on the set as a whole. I love how the blue background acts as the perfect contrast against the vibrant colors of both the bird and the flowers. The split gold and blue colors behind the sailboad create a wonderful sense of balance. The designs and colors are just perfect together!

Thank you Christine.  I completed the cookie without the seagulls and white caps and it looked really unfinished. I had to reread the rules twice before I felt comfortable adding them. I’m trying my best to curtail my willy hilly renegade ways!🤣
