This is an excellent first post! So interesting! Can you tell us more about how it was made? For instance, where are the cookie parts? What is made with fondant, versus what is made with royal icing? Thanks!

Thank you, Julia. The cookie parts are the sea floor and the coral reef itself- I baked the arch around aluminum foil and added the standing cookie pieces that were just a cookie, rolled into a log, and allowed to bake with a flat side.. The reef is covered in royal icing and then I used the zeoto pen to create the holes and details on the reef. All of the creatures were white fondant that I hand painted. The sting ray was wedged into the sides of the reef to give it a floating effect. The sand is a combo of graham and vanilla wafer. The coral was also royal icing that I airbrushed different colors.IMG_5143

I had a blast making this come to life

Thanks so much for the tips - always so helpful to learn how things were made. I added a few more clip sets and explanatory tags to your post to capture your methods, which is also a good thing to do on future posts. Feel free to add to or edit them.
