Those are so beautiful! Can I ask how you got those cookies to look crackled? You don't have to give away your secrets if you don't want to
I don’t mind sharing- people here are very generous with their tips and secrets. I mixed white gel food coloring and a little colored gel coloring with cornstarch until it was the consistency of Elmer’s glue. I painted that onto bare cookies. The crackles apear after about 2 hours. The yellow didn’t crackle as well, but I may have had the consistency off on that one or not spread the mixture on thick enough. You can add flavoring as well, but I ate one and it still tasted great. 😊

Thank you so much for sharing! I cannot wait to try this!
How do you do the crackle? I know how to do it in paint but I don't think that would taste so good!
Hi Belinda! I have a comment above about the technique I used. It’s a combination of white food coloring and corn starch (and a little color if you don’t want white). Mix it to the consistency of Elmer’s glue. You can add flavoring, but I ate one of my cookies without the flavoring and it was very tasty and not dried-out at all.
