Zara, I wanted to see how you made those cookies. To make a net, did you put green sprinkles then ice with white RI?
Thank you, Ryoko! I didn't want to do football themed sweets for a long time, because I thought it's nothing special about it But now I know I was wrong and I am happy I finally did. I just love the simplicity of those 3 colours (you already know I like simple things and that includes cookies and cakes, with not too much elements on them).
To answer your question - the green is royal icing and the white on top is paint. Those cookies took ages - to draw a straight line with a paint brush on an uneven surface is madness For the green I used a technique I've learned from cake decorating (you will see it on the cake board as well) - I used a star tip to make indentations, both on the royal for the cookies and the fondant for the cake board. This took several hours!
I used stencil transfer for the balls and the t-shirts. I also made football shoes transfers, but because they were in black they broke while I trying to take them off...

What? Oh my! all royal icing? That took ages, no wonder you were busy. Too good to eat but kids ate them, right?

I was also wondering whether they were fondant or RI transfer, thank you for letting me know. It took long to make them all. After the challenge to #17, you did these, Great job!

yeah, everyhting is royal icing and kids loved them! I haven't tried them yet
and now you know why I am always so busy, I always prefer the hard way...hehe
I also used what I've learned during the challenge
Beautiful set to go with that gourgeous cake, Zara!I love the texture you were able to achieve, and the balls are just perfect!
Thank you, Manu! It was very difficult for me with all those calculations for the balls, because they all are different sizes and I didn't have that instrument (don't know the name in English ) which helps in this case...
