So sweetly spooky, Susie! Can you elaborate on some of the techniques used, especially for the frame. For instance, are the bats on it royal icing transfers or some other medium/technique? And what about the scene? Are those small elements directly piped or transfers? And what’s the overall size? Just asking for group edification purposes! 😀 TIA!

Of course! I actually made this cookie for an instagram contest that requires the use of a specific brand of sprinkles… and I LOVE playing with sprinkles in “out-of-the-box” ways, so the bats are actually sprinkles I separated out of one of the mixes and glued on with royal icing between the piped lines of the frame. The pumpkins and ghosts are also sprinkles that I painted to give them more dimension and character. The little underripe “pumpkins” are non pareils. Everything else is black or white royal icing that I then painted/dusted for color and sparkle. So you can see that it’s actually quite small!
Oh how fun Susie @Susie Jacobs!! I love your picture cookie that celebrates the fun of Halloween in your own special way. Getting me ready for Halloween... ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...
