whoa!! that is spectacular!!! i'm curious about how you did this. did you piece the horse together? is the dough tinted? are the other "leather" parts made of fondant or gum paste? how big is this? this is absolutely amazing.

thank you for all the lovely comments! wau my work is listed as one of the hottest cookies of the week!  I still have the horse. it's 15cm tall and made with brown fondant cover, hand painted it black, and then added all the fondant details. to finish, I did piping (metal parts) and hand painted those. I adore horses so I had to make one! :-) thank you for your kind words.

Karolina - I would love it if you wanted to post a photo tutorial of your process to the Cookie Connection blog - that would be the best place for it on this site. We could link it back to this photo and your site, if you have one.

thank you Julia, I would be privileged! however, I only have mobile photo shots of the process. I can make a very short blog post about this, if you like. it would make me very happy, if this inspires anyone! I will try to put it together tonight. I do not have a site at the moment, except my public FB page... would that be ok? I love this site, it's amazingly well designed and yes, very addictive  all the best, K. xxx

Yes, Karolina. All you said would be fine/great. Once you submit the post, it will go into my moderation queue for review. I am on vacation now, so it may take me some time (a day or more) to review it, so please don't be surprised if it does not post immediately. Thanks for your contribution!

Thank you kindly Julia! I finished it and did my best with tagging it etc., I hope editing it few times doesn't mean you'll receive it several times? In that case, ignore all except the last one! Happy vacation! You're amazing! (I've seen your page... amazing cakes, too!

Thanks, Karolina. No, I just have one copy here - your changes get saved into the same document that we both see. Once I start editing (later tonight), you may want to stay out if it, or we could overwrite each other's changes. I edit to conform to site style mostly, but will also touch up any grammar issues or typos.

P.S. Thanks for the kind words about my site!

Dear Julia, I leave that entirely in your capable hands! You're very kind and helpful. English is my second language so some mistakes are possible even after several proofreadings I've made. I hope people will like it, although it's not a proper step-by-step tutorial, I would say it's "from behind the scenes" sneaky peak into the process. I keep no secrets, I just want to inspire others to make things like this.
