HERBARIUM

I really like to press flowers. I make from these for example bookmarks and gift cards.

Because the description writes: 'Your floral arrangement does NOT have to be three-dimensional', I chosed a unique flower arrangement, a Herbarium.

The old, rusty, chipped edge scissors are movable and made from royal icing. I will share a tutorial on this soon.

The Herbarium features three wildflowers.
* Poppy (Papaver rhoeas)
* Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus)
* Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)

MEDIA TYPES
* wafer paper
* corn silk
* edible black marker
+ (royal icing: scissors, soil)

The decoration is on gingerbread.

POPPY
* wafer paper (petal, flower bud, immature seedpod, flower stalk, leaf, tape)
* corn silk (stamens)
* edible black marker (bouquet drawing)

* wafer paper (petal, flower bud, flower stalk, leaf, root, tape)

Your are correct, entries do not have to be three-dimensional. Your flowers are stunning. And this is such a creative way to display them. Thank you for your detailed tutorial. It not only shows us how you created your masterpiece, but it also shows how much detail went into creating it. And those scissors look amazing, but adding that they are movable - now that's impressive.
