When I saw these I was absolutely convinced I could never manage to do something like that, but now I am converted, which shows just what brilliant tutorials you do Really clever ideas for getting such a perfect result (I was staring at the quivers thinking how on earth can you do the lattice for the needlepoint on a curved surface so perfectly - and now I know ) Clearly I need to get myself some sugarveil and moulds because these kinds of projects look so much fun.
Thank you for all your hard work Julia, your videos are always so enjoyable and the projects so spectacular

Thanks!! I could probably pipe the lattice halfway around the cylinder, but it would also be far more fragile than this lace and then I'd have more seams - and, wow, the edible lace is a lot faster, of course. This mat, though, takes some practice pulling, because it is very delicate as these mats go. It's best with a double-coat of the SugarVeil.
