Using a cookie tip has always been a challenge for me. I even had a second thought for not joining this challenge but here I am, finished those cookies and put them as an entry at very last minute.
For the background I used Americolor Bright White with a touch of yellow, turquoise & pink colors and applied it on the cookies before I baked them to achieve the crackle effect.
Lily of the valley: done with medium consistency icing.
I used leaf tip and did exactly what Noriko did on her cookie, on which I found it more challenging on a rectangular shape cookie. I’ll do it on a circle one next time. Lol!
Butterfly: done with molded fondant.
I used PME 56R to make the ruffles, one petal at a time.
Mushroom: done with medium consistency icing.
I used Wilton star tip 16. Also did exactly what Noriko did on her cookie.
Thank you Cookie Connection team for this challenge. You guys have pushed me out of my comfort zone once again. I realized at some points I needed this cookie tip challenge.❤️❤️
How beautiful, dear Ira! I love the combination of the rustic background with the delicate figures and edges. Gorgeous!♥️
And congratulations too on your courage to step out of “comfort zone” to present your lovely work for the first time in CC, AND, for the Challenge!👏👏👏 🏆 ♥️

Hi again, @Ira V. Taylor! (My first comment was automated. So sorry, but I see you've posted before, just under a different member name. As a side note, you'd be better off just changing your name on your past profile. That way, all of your past and future content will be in one place, under one profile. Email me if you need directions as to how to do this.) More importantly, congrats on pushing through to a challenge entry. I am so glad you did. Not only are the cookies quite pretty, but I love the textural juxtaposition of the rough crackle effect on the background and the refined piped borders. Nice concept!
Wonderful challenge submission! It is such a treat to have the opportunity to learn from your process details and lessons learned during your effort as well; thank you for sharing!
This was a challenge that I also had at the back of my mind from the day it was made available, but could not come up with a solid design idea of my own that I was ready to step out on.
The crackle effect in your cookie design creates a completely unique twist for the ruffle piping framing, featuring soothing Spring icons so well executed and featured within!

Thank you so much.🥰
And I’m sorry for the confusion. I had trouble signing in on my other account, for some reason Facebook keep refusing to let me sign in so I signed up for a new account that way I could buy the tutorial video. I will try to sign in again later and do your suggestion for changing my profile name.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I’ve been struggling with cookie tips for a long time especially the leaf shape. I thought I would give it a try. It was a lot trial of leaves piping prior doing it on the cookies. It’s scared me!😄

FYI - You can always sign in directly with the email and password on your account rather than signing in through Facebook or another platform if those sign-ins aren't working.
What brand of color do you use cause I have been trying to do this with no luck and it’s so easy but no matter what I do I cannot get the crackle I just get a sticky mess that won’t dry and I even added cornstarch to the chef master liquid whitener I have and it still will not crackle I’ve done it on raw dough I’ve tried on cooked dough and all it does is start to spread like oil in water can you please give me advice

As I mentioned above,😁, I used Americolor Bright White. Applied it with a paint brush, not too much, just enough to cover the surface of the cookie. And bake them as usual. You can add a touch of color like I did on my cookies. Mix them well then apply.
As far as I know Americolor Bright White is the best choice you need to achieve crackle effect.
