Misery of Old Age

I love painting on cookies and didn't want to miss the painting challenge (https://cookieconnection.julia...-perfect-35-painting) which I missed in June 2019. The theme here is the misery of old age which is shown as a bare tree with two hearts depicting loneliness and emptiness. We all may grow old and now it's time for us to show a bit of sympathy for older people and their caregivers. As for the cookie decoration the challenge was painting with a few strokes. More stokes may damage the royal icing (I use a traditional recipe)

I like the message behind your entry. There's some really great detail work in your painting and I love the contrast between the orange and black colors. Your icing looks perfect (not damaged by the painting at all). Excellent work!
