Painting Practice

Painting on cookies with gel food coloring and with Master Elite edible dusts by The Sugar Art has always been very intimidating for me. I've been practicing a lot to help in overcoming the intimidation of painting. I've approached this skill by following along with tutorials on YouTube using a pencil and paper to help me better understand the mechanics of drawing and shading.

Painting is a completely new arena that opens up so many different ways to decorate cookies. I have a lot to learn but was happy with the result on this cookie .

Very pretty Carol....love the two separate areas and the colours!  I'm constantly trying to perfect my painting as well, it can be frustrating and daunting I admit lol   ...Hugs, Laura x

Well, this is awesome, dear Carol! I love the combination of colours, the daintiness, the added dots of icing that enhance the work and the split in the middle. Congratulations, dear friend, for tackling the challenge and creating this beauty♥️
