Hi, everyone! I’ve got another wonderful Julia M. Usher’s Cookie Art Competition™ video for you! This session features our ingenious Gold Sponsor Lara Parodi, who harks from Brazil and is the brainchild behind Sweet Bite APP, a transformative organizational and inventory management tool designed especially for cookie decorators.
In the first half of the session, Lara shares more information about how her business got started and her range of service offerings; she also reveals her fabulous prize giveaway for this year’s competition! Woo hoo!
In the second half, she turns the tables and asks me questions about how the entry/judging process is geared to ensure inclusivity and equity, two very important watchwords of my competition. As you can see from the world map in the video (and also below), the 2021 online edition of the competition attracted registrants from 17 different countries. And over 40% of those registrants resided outside the US! This year, I hope to broaden the competition’s reach and bring cookie-joy to even more corners of the globe! The more, the merrier!
Please remember that every bit of the competition's record-breaking $25,500 in prizes can be distributed (digitally) anywhere in the world without entrants having to worry about shipping costs or tariffs.
