We left NYC a couple of hours before shelter in place went into effect. We are fortunate to have another place to go to on the eastern shore of Maryland. Our small coastal town has a community center that is now doing food distribution. It's a sad symbol of the times with individuals who, never in a million years, thought they would need food distribution. I decided to donate cookies to the Friday distribution. I realize these aren't the most intricate but I just wanted to give a sweet treat that will hopefully bring a smile. This is a photo of part of my dining room table before I packed things up. My husband claimed he was being persecuted when he found out all of the cookies weren't for him.
Oh Lisa, so much work , but a wonderful result❤️😘@LisaF
Oh thank you so much @Icingsugarkeks. The time crunch was a bit stressful but I learned a lot about time management - lol - which is not my best trait!!!😘
Thank you for your kind words @PartyPrettier. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit and it gave me a whole new appreciation for professional cookiers who do large batches on a regular basis!!
You are so amazing Lisa ❤️. Your thoughtful help was likely appreciated more than you'll ever know. It's gestures of caring like you've done here that really help to bring us together during such a challenging time in the world. Your pansies are absolutely beautiful @LisaF!! Pansies are one of my favorite flowers (I love purple). So, how many cookies did you end up making? I can see why hubby was a bit disappointed...mine would have been too. LOL.
Thank you for bringing smiles to the faces of so many people! Much love to you ❤️❤️❤️

You’re much too kind @Cookies Fantastique. I guarantee I’m getting much more out of it than I am putting in. I’ve committed to 150 each week. The “helpers” at the food distribution seem to know which families need what. The past two weeks I’ve made 180 with the extras going to friends, family and my extremely high maintenance husband 🤪. I did another batch last week and will post it in a few days. Things didn’t go as planned though so I still have PTSD from it. 😬😬😬
