My Secret Sister at church is a Piano teacher and writes musicals so as a finally and reveal I decided to make her a cookie box. I was so surprised tonight (and a bit mortified) to see two others as well! As you can tell in my sketch I had thought to do a grand Piano (and couldn't figure out how to make it look right in my mind so I did a stand up one). I guess two other's had a similar idea and figured out how.  I decided to give her cookie pops so they would fit in the more narrow box and altered the top of the box to accommodate. Loved the challange! Thanks Christine @Bakerloo Station and @Julia Usher

Nicely done, Kim! I like the addition of the musical note cookie pops too.

Also - Our upcoming live-chatter, Stacy Frank, entered a 3-D piano into the OSSAS cookie competition last year and won. Her work's been on the site since that time; you may have seen it here: https://cookieconnection.julia...inners-at-ossas-2018

Anyway, it's not uncommon these days for people to come to the same idea in different ways, especially as so many are cookie-ing. I wouldn't sweat the fact that others did the same thing; the spins on these projects have been very different.

Wow, Julia! I had not seen this, but what a beautiful job she did! How precise and perfect her execution (I can see why she won). thanks for your kind words.

This is so wonderful! Love the pink colour piano and the musical notes. Perfect for a gift! โค๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŒธโค๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Thank you Kanch! The cookies are raspberry so I colored the dough as a hint! Some parts are beighe and they are orange spice. I'm going to give a few cookies with it incase she is not brave enough to eat the piano. Hehe

Wow! Fantastic. She will be really happy with this. ๐Ÿฅฐ

What are the odds that three of you would have the idea to make a piano, and all post at the same time?! And even though we have three piano entries, they are all totally different! I love this little upright, Kim. It is so cheery, the perfect gift! I think your box pieces fit together quite well, eliminating the need to pipe over them. And I love your wafer paper sheet music to complete the scene! This is a great addition to the challenge!

Thank you so much! It was a treat to make it.
