So I was going for Steampunk Christmas vintage look. I hope it looks somewhere in that ballpark. First time I have used cake lace. It took me almost 4 hours to get this set finished. There were 2 more cookies in the set that I was not pkeased with so they didnt make the final cut😊.

They definitely convey this theme. Just curious - where's the cake lace on this set? And where's the fondant?

Steam punk Christmas!  How original!  LOVE it!  I, like Julia, would also like to know where you used the cake lace and fondant and what you used for those darker antiqued edges, so do tell!

So this comment is a long time coming... I didn't ever check for comments... I just thought people were liking the picture😦. Anyway the cake lace is around the edges of the clock piece and the edges of the stocking,on the stomach of the snowman and one side of the ornament. The fondant is the gears on the Christmas tree, the key on the stocking and the clock and snowflakes. @Julia M. Usher

Hi! I never realised people were commenting on my post! Once I figured it out I came back and saw your question!!😂 I should have uploaded seperate pics... But the cake lace is around the edges of the clock piece and the stocking. Also the one side of the ornament and on the snowman's stomach. The fondant is all the gears on the Christmas tree, the key on the stocking and the clock and snowflakes on that piece. I used an edible dust for the shading. I bought it long ago from a little shop on ebay...its the color  Cinnamon. Thanks for looking ☺
