I used to hate circles... I know a lot of people do. As most of you well know the key here is the icing consistency. I like to make mine on the thicker side so I can do an outline right on the very edge and quickly fill it in,all with the same consistency. I start on the lower left of the cookie and slowly outline all the way around. I try not to stop but if my arm gets in the way I will drop the icing line turn the cookie a smidge so I can see and finish outlining. Then if there are spots where its not right to the edge I use my scribe tool to push it out. I even made a little video... But the file size is too big so I couldn't add it in. Also if you notice some of my circles are not perfect, I think they warped while cooking or being transferred to the freezer to set up. I wanted to keep them simple so everyone can see the outlines. Some fondant hand painted butterflies,RI and fondant flowers and a quick airbrush of butterflies.
These are so simple and beautiful. I love those fondant butterflies! You use basically the same approach to flooding circles as I do! I think the one-consistency icing for piping and flooding are key as well. Wonderful entry!
