I am not sure if this will qualify. However I am out of time so I have to post quickly. This was meant to be a shadow box...had an accident while putting it together at the last minute. So it ended up not with a full top but a frame. More details to follow.

So after a lot of measuring and filing with a grater I finished my steam punk box. I meant for it to be a shadow box, with isomalt in a frame. It has been very muggy where I am and with the long thin pieces I kept having to throw them in the freezer because they were super soft and wanted to break. I finished the bottom piece and built the frame on top around it. When I poured and set the isomalt I thought it would give the structure some more support. But it broke and shattered. I waited until the last minute to finish this and did not have time to re try the front. So it ended up with just the frame...which will probably not qualify but we will see and after the work I will share anyway. I need to take a page from @Kimdamon and enter earlier!!Thanks so much for this challenge! Looking forward to the next.

Thanks for sharing! I'll let @Bakerloo Station decide if it qualifies, but the intended direction looks great! Are the keys and such molded fondant, or some other medium??

Yes Julia they are all made from molds and dry dusted with different shades.

I have allowed this because of the attempt at a cover with the frame and isomalt. I say it is close enough!

I am sorry you encountered so many difficulties with this entry, but in spite of them, you have created a really fantastic box, @talia! The idea of a vintage shadow box filled with trinkets really fits the "inside the box" theme so well! Really, an inspired idea! You did a great job of fitting the dividers into your box, but it looks like you could have used slightly longer box sides so that they fit together at the top corners. Still, I am very glad you were able to post. This is a great addition to the challenge!

Thank you so much. My inside mismeasures should have been covered but since I wrecked up the top I thought what the heck. I will show the inside and anyway its certainly not perfect so I can share the good parts as well as the bad. Its all learning and good fun. I did like the way my airbrushing came out and all the little pieces!
