Adding some comments as I forgot to follow all of the challenge instructions! Thank you for the reminder @sweetprodigy.
I knew I wanted to try some horizontal string work on the top of the cookie and some vertical string work on the side. The scalloped edge pattern seemed like a good place to follow along for the horizontal strings, and I alternated strings of the white and red icing until I got all the way around the cookie. Then I brainstormed for about a day how on earth I was going to flip the cookie over to do the vertical decorating. Initially I thought I would use icing to glue the cookie to the underside of something, but I couldn't think of anything that would work well (that wouldn't require me to hold it and would give space to work). I settled on flipping it over and setting it down with tissue paper and paper towel underneath. It worked pretty well although there were definitely a couple of strings that broke. I started with the top a narrow vase, but realized pretty quickly that it wasn't narrow enough. After some more brainstorming... I switched to the top of a wine bottle! :-)
I learned that it takes a little bit of practice to get used to the feeling of stringing (how much pressure to apply, how quickly to move the bag, how to get the strings to attach to an icing bead, etc), but once you get that down you can get into a good rhythm. The strings dry quite quickly so if you want to make a correction you need to do it right away! Also, don't try to string at the same table as your husband who is working on his laptop. Turns out typing makes the table vibrate quite steadily! Haha.

@The Psyched Baker Wow! This looks so delicate. Please let us know a bit more about how you created your stringwork cookie, as well as anything you learned along the way (per Rule 6 of the Challenge).
Oh how beautiful!!! I love the height you were able to get with your stringwork @The Psyched Baker. It looks absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for the detailed explanation of how you piped the the vertical and horizontal strings. I would have been scratching my head, too. LOL You did such an awesome job! ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...
