Pumpkin Pie!

There’s not much special about the look of these cookies.  But, let’s be honest, pumpkin pie is simply not that interesting to look at!! And there are only a limited number of ways to present it!  However, the neat thing for me with these cookies is that they actually taste like pumpkin pie.  I put pumpkin pie spice extract in both the cookie dough and the icing.  I also had a fun time playing around with my airbrush.  I didn’t have the colors I needed so I practiced layering other shades.  I made a mess after airbrushing 150 cookies but I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the house smelled divine from the pumpkin pie spice.

Aw pumpkin pie Lisa @LisaF...one of my traditional Thanksgiving favorites. The fact that they taste like pumpkin pie....Yummmmm . What an extra treat. I can't believe Thanksgiving is already here!! Thanks Zeena.  I've really been having a lot of fun experimenting with extracts and emulsions.  It can add an unexpected flavor, which is kind of cool.
