For the last of my challenge cookies, I’m depicting other uses for the ribbing imprint. A pool raft, a wooden raft and mixed media wall art.
The pool raft was airbrushed and the woman is a royal icing transfer.
The wooden raft is airbrushed (two tones of brown). The sail is a royal icing transfer that was draped over a cylinder. I crinkled the parchment paper before taping it down and you can see a subtle imprint on the inside. I made several of these with an imprint on the outside. I used a Sugar Veil mat and parchment paper but each time the end result was too fragile to stand by itself. This one dried without an imprint on the top, just the crinkled paper beneath.
The “mixed media” art piece is air brushed with gold luster. The base is the ribbed imprint and the top is from a Sugar Veil mat. If I had more time, I would have liked to play around with a steam punk theme with various metallic colors.
This is an absolutely fantastic entry! Here you've gone ahead and created the perfect pool raft without the need to pipe each section separately. The textures in your raft and mixed media cookies also look amazing. Were there any challenges when you created the SugarVeil lace imprint or did you find it a relatively easy process?

Thank you so much Christine. I really enjoyed working with the sugar veil mats and definitely found them the easiest to work with (when compared to other silicone molds or imprint tools.) I got some gorgeous imprints and mentally had it as a fail safe option. My main problem was having the will not to peek too soon! Even then though, the Sugar Veil was much more forgiving. It also worked beautifully with a half cylinder contour. The mats drape easily. If I had more time, I probably would have made the sail as a contoured cookie, iced it on both sides and imprinted both sides with the Sugar Veil mat (sandwiching the cookie in between the mats).

Everything looks great. I have a few SugarVeil mats as well. Both your work and @Julia M. Usher's SugarVeil transfers have inspired me to try this technique myself.
These are just so fun Lisa @LisaF!! Makes me want to get onto a raft and float away somewhere (like that's gonna happen LOL). Great idea to create the raft with the sail and the woman relaxing in her pool. Oh I used to do that with family and friends and a couple of festive drinks... Thank you for bringing back such fond memories in your beautiful cookies. The mixed media cookie is beautifully done with gold. I just love that color! ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...
