Tutorial by @Dolce Sentire - Aixa Zunino : http://cookieconnection.juliau...ensional-rose-cookie

I started with selecting an image of a real rose to copy onto my cookie, there are so many to choose from.

I used a frankenfrosting icing, and experienced some pitting, but tried to save it at best I could.

I enjoyed this challenge, but of course Dolce Sentire is so good at what she does, could not match the skills, but look forward to trying the next challenge and learning and growing.

Great job! It is hard to avoid pitting/craters when piping in all those tiny areas. I wonder if @Dolce Sentire - Aixa Zunino has any suggestions for how she avoided that when she did this project? (Your rose looks lovely even so!)

This is a gorgeous rose!  Your shades of pink are lovely, and your leaves are incredibly realistic, with perfect texture and shading.  My only advice on the cratering issues is that it helps me to fill only a few small sections at a time, and then put the cookie in front of a fan or dehydrator until those sections are crusted before doing any more sections. It's a tedious process, but necessary, especially when working on such tiny sections, and especially when the air is humid, as in summer time.  Terrific entry!

Thank you so much for the advice.  It makes sense, I was somewhat rushed with drying time, I could literally watch as they appeared. Looking forward to my next try, I was thinking Protea flower.  With more patience😊
