South Tyrol Cookies

Very Beautiful-- I would love to know how that royal icing ruffle on the bottom of the dress and other places where it appears it isn't gray icing but a lacey layer over other Ri layer-- are done!!!!

Amazing!  What did you use for the ruffle?  It's so light and delicate.

Hi Karen, so happy you like it! It is very flood icing ‘painted’ directly on the cookie.

Hi Carlie, I used very flood icing to create that transparent lace effects. If you paint it directly on the cookie then add few white strokes looks realistic and super fluffy. So glad you like it ❤️

A beautiful set. My grandparents were Tyrolian so this set is extra special to me.

I know, from Canazei, such a wonderful place! Those little towns and valleys at the feet of the mountains are simply delightful. This was our 6th year spending our holidays in the Dolomites, every time we change location, hotel and altitude so to discover the more we can about those breathtaking landscapes.

Dear Evelin @Evelindecora, I just realized that I hadn't commented on this wonderful set yet...I believe I've done so somewhere else but I definitely want to recognize your incredible set here on CC . Your wet-on-wet technique is perfection. Although it's an "easy" technique to learn, it's a bit more difficult to master it as you have. Your flooding is the perfect consistency and your dots are totally even in size and symmetry. The design is phenomenal as always. Your work impeccable...Love it my dear cookie friend ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...

Dear Carol, thank you for your beautiful words. I am not a master at wet on wet technique and I get anxiuos everytime I decide to use it in a set, so thanks a lot for appreciating my efforts! I am very happy you like my Sud Tyrol cookies, I put my heart in them ❤️

OMG!!! They are so realistic Tyrol cookies! Your work amazed me again and again!! The colors are a fest for the eyes and the whole picture is sooo beautiful!! Sorry I'm only liking now, I haven't been here for a while... @Evelindecora ❤️

Thanks Gabi for your lovely comment! I am a Sud Tiröl lover, every year I spend at least one week in Dolomites locations changing hotel/town everytime to discover the more I can of those breathtaking landscapes 🤍❤️🤍
