A few common Spirograph patterns. I've wanted to try them since October of last year, and am finally getting around to it.

Normally, I pipe directly onto the cookie, but that was not practical for this set, so I made transfers instead. Because multiple lines cross each other, not all patterns will work with royal icing as this can build too much height in some areas. I might try more complex patterns, but I thought these would be fun and easy patterns to start with.

Very clever idea - reminds me of my child hood.

Thank you, Valerie. I loved making Spirograph patterns and thought it would be fun to "draw" them up in cookie form!

These are amazing, just pristine. I love your color transitions, they look like they were done with variegated thread and I cannot imagine how you achieved that effect. Much thought and planning went into these cookies. All of your linework cookies are just mind boggling!  I loved my Super Spirograpaph when I was a child, still have it actually but I am not steady enough with linework to do these cookies. I have searched for tutorials on how to make spirograph cookies but only found one on using a food coloring pen and the spirograph directly on the cookie, they were nice but not what I was looking for. Your cookies are just what I had envisioned. Just looking at them makes me smile.

Thank you so much, Lisa!  I remember way back, thinking of how interesting it would be to make Spirograph cookies, and then I saw that same video just a few weeks later. My vision was always to use royal icing, but I had to work on my piping skills (straight lines first) to be able to get to the level where I could feel confident piping curved lines. These Spirograph cookies are actually very easy. Right now, I am still learning a lot, but one day I would like to teach and do a series of video tutorials on my cookies.
