I’m so grateful that I became used to “pivoting” last year. They have made some changes at my local soup kitchen and I’m back to doing 150 cookies each week. Bless those royal icing transfers! The entire wreath is a transfer. It’s a pretty thick transfer so I didn’t want to cover the cookie with more icing. I used a cinnamon sugar dough to give a darker background. I tried a variety of sprays and luster applications to the top of the cookie but ultimately decided to keep it plain. I am not displeased with the result.
I love royal icing transfers (sometimes I make them for no particular reason). Your wreath cookies look great . . . and delicious!
Thank you Christine. I will say, I’ve become a bit smitten with transfers. When the icing is just right, and it all goes according to plan, it’s quite a therapeutic way to decompress or recharge.😁
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏So happy to know you are happy -and a blessing to 150 people with your gorgeous cookies! Thank you so much Lisa for your gifts of love♥️
Thank you for your kind words Heather. I’ve learned so much about scheduling and planning ahead- it enables me to enjoy the process so much. I feel quit reinvigorated!❤️🍪😁
What pretty wreath cookies Lisa @LisaF!! These are perfect for your large cookie gift I think you made the right decision about not flooding the cookies beneath the wreath. This really makes the wreath pop to life. ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...
