My entry for the vintage vacation contest was inspired by the old Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello beach movies. I did marbling, stamping and stencils for this set. The marbling can be found in the wood grain of the car, the tire treads, the surf board, and the highlights in the red hat box. For stamping, I used individual alphabet letter stamps to form the word "PALMS". I had to do each one separately. (Talk about nerve wracking!) Lastly, I used stencils for the cloudy skies and the palm tree.
It is picture perfect vintage! I want that beach right now! Evocative and fun. And yes, isn't stamping nerve wracking? I had to make extra cookies in case I needed to start over!
they really are cute Mike...I actually had a Ford Country Squire Station Wagon, with the faux wood panels...circa 1987 I looooooved that car, we took many a road trip in it...good luck...m
What a great vintage set of cookies. Love the fact that you used more then one technique. I was going to single out one cookie but I cant there all that good.
