Vintage Cameo in Pink
Had a couple of these cookies with the oval cut out and decided to use the cameo with both of them.

Did you use a mold and fondant for the cameo? It is so well done.

I did use a fondant mold for the cameo. Pretty tricky to make sure to get the white where the white needs to go and the pink where it needs to go . These 2 were fun to do. I must admit that I prefer the gold cookie over the pink but thought I'd post it anyway...

So many different techniques!  Lovely

How did you mount the cameo, which, BTW is exquisitely done.

Very pretty

Thank you Pip!! The cameo is inset into an oval cut out that was a little too big for the cameo (I had other plans for the cookie that didn't work out so I improvised . ) After flooding, airbrushing the pearl sheen and stenciling the cookie, I put it on parchment paper and piped stiff RI around the cameo to the edges of the cut out. After it dried I took it off the parchment and flipped the cookie over and put a layer of stiff icing over the cameo and part of the cookie to cover the cutout completely and seal the cameo into the hole. I was then able to put a border around the cameo. Easy peasy .

Thanks so much for the question . I love asking and answering any questions!!

Easy peasy?.....sounds complex to me.   I'd have panicked if that had happened.   You kept your cool and ended up with a beautiful cookie.

Thank you Pip!! I'm in the same conundrum right now with another cookie project...just isn't turning out as I envisioned and planned. We'll see what becomes of the design when the cookie "grows up". Lol...
