You're welcome, Louise! It's been a really fun project for me to set up - and it's been incredibly satisfying to me to see people jump in and embrace it. The energy and wealth of gorgeous content getting shared here is really invigorating!

Gracias, Reggina! I'll be looking for your cookies in the top 10!

I really love your site.  I have your books (one signed at I.C.E.S.) I believe or maybe cookie con.  I am a member of the Ca. Cookie Club, and the Ca. Cookie Cutters Club.  Can you believe that there is a group out there that meets and sometimes exchanges cookie cutters.  If anyone is interested in either group they have web sites.  Lastly Thank you for your great site and for all your instructions on U2.

Thanks so much, Sandy, and welcome to the site! Yes, I'm aware of the CCCC - I was first introduced to them about 3 or 4 years ago when on book tour in CA, and I believe I posted about one of their events here earlier this year. Please know that you are welcome to post their events on our events calendar, or about them in out forums (under Events), where more people are likely to see this information. Thanks again - and have fun here!

Now that is a cool feature !  In less than two minutes !  Good diction and clarity.

A nice welcome. Is it automatic for all new members?

Hi, glad you like it. But . . . this audio recording has always been on this page, ever since the very beginning of Cookie Connection - I guess it was just harder to find.  And, yes, it's automatically presented to all new members in the sense that all are instructed to read this page when they sign up, and they have the option of opening this file when they read the page. Of course, I cannot force anyone to read anything, so I don't know how many new members actually listen to it.

This site is wonderful.  I am a beginner cookie person.  Does anyone know of a cookie class in Louisiana?

Thanks! I don't know of any classes in Louisiana myself, but you can always use our "Advanced Search" feature under the magnifying glass icon at the top of the site to search our calendar for the words "Louisiana" and "class".  The calendar is where people post their events/classes on this site.

P.S. I just did this search and nothing came up on this site, which is as I expected. I've mostly seen classes outside of the US posted this year. But if you'd like to ask the membership about classes in Louisiana, the best place to post a question is in the forums where people will be more likely to see it (not here). And the best forum to post it in is Resources/Decorating Classes, which you can find here: http://cookieconnection.juliau...m/decorating-classes Best of luck!

thank you for being so prompt.  My problem (I'm sure all beginner's problem) is icing consistency.  I have been following you on you-tube and I did try marbleing and they were nice.

Glad to hear they came out well!

Thanks for adding me, Julia. For years I am watching your videos and tips for cookie decoration. Amazing site. Wanted to focus really on cookie decoration henceforth ...willing to enroll myself in your online class but being in India(Pune) need to watch out for timings.

Great! So glad to have you here! My classes are listed here under "Calendar" (be sure to select the "Main Calendar" view, so you don't have to sift through everyone's birthdays to find classes); on my site (www.juliausher.com) under "Classes"; and on my Facebook page in the "Events" area. I hope you find one or more that work for you!

Thanks for adding me, Julia.

I've been watching your videos and cookie decorating tips for years and I'm so grateful for this opportunity to be a part of this community, thank you so much.

The first time I saw something of yours was on a Brazilian platform and I don't speak your language very well, since then I've been trying to improve and learn your language more.

I love your creations, I never get tired of cookies, I love your website! I fell in love with cookies because of their creations.

I'm starting to learn to produce and I'm inspired by your works. I really want to focus on cookie decoration from now on...

Amazing place.

Thankful!
