Recently I was laid off from my part time job due to Covid-19. Of course this was a pretty big hit for us financially. I'm looking at it as an opportunity to re-evaluate how to best use that extra time for growing my cookie business. Thankfully this happened at a time when the holidays are right around the corner. My incoming orders took off in the middle of September and I'm currently booked through the end of November.
I've wanted to make another 3D project and this Halloween candy box project came to mind after watching one of the many cake videos created by Yolanda Gampp, "How to Cake It". She used melted marshallows to create a "web" that she wrapped around her Halloween cake (see: https://howtocakeit.com/blogs/...shmallow-cobweb-cake). The idea grew from there. Once again Julia's wonderfully intricate and versatile stencils were just what I needed @Julia M. Usher). Thank you my cookie friend!!
To add to the creepiness factor, I used colored gumpaste to create the witche's fingers coming up out of the box. This was ok overall, but I would have been happier if they looked more realistic. But first times for everything presents more opportunities for learning!
The horror shock was excellently done by Carol !!The cobwebs, the green fingers, the bloody eyes - creepy !!But I like the little spiders ❤️ ... and Carol, it looks very realistic !!@Cookies Fantastique
Oh thank you Manuela @MANUELA CANTÙ. I think it's a bit too creepy. At least it's the creepiest Halloween cookie project I've ever made before. But it was also fun. ❤❤❤ Hugs...

Ah Gabi, you are so sweet my dear!! This project was a bit over the top on the creepy meter. Lol. But it was fun coming up with different Halloween elements to add to it @Icingsugarkeks ❤❤❤ I hope you are well. Hugs...
How fun, Carol! Glad to hear that business is picking up too! (I can't see which stencil of mine you used??)
Thanks Julia! On one of the side panels I used the crosses/graveyard stencil and used the EEK! message. A great choice @Julia M. Usher for this application . An order I'm working on now would have been so much more difficult and time consuming were it not for your wonderful Halloween stencils!! I'm able to add a LOT of customizing by interchanging messages and various elements (e.g., spiders, witch, pumpkins, etc.) without much additional time. Thank YOU! I'll make a good profit on this particular order. Yay . I know that I've said it many, many times before but being a member of your stencil of the month club was one of the smartest and economical investments I've made for my business!
I'd have to say that you did fantastic the first time around. Glad that you are doing well with orders.
Thank you so much Christine @Sweet Prodigy . It's kind of you to say that the green creepy fingers with red nails turned out ok. I really wanted to participate in the stained glass challenge but have been so busy that I've hardly even had time to visit CC let alone make a specific cookie, or set of cookies . I hope you are doing well my dear cookie friend ❤️❤️❤️. Hugs...

Thank you Lisa @LisaF! You're so sweet to comment. This was a fun project but took way too long. I was working between orders which is always difficult. I liked adding the fingers... gave it a more Halloween feel. Lol. Thanks again my sweet friend ❤❤❤
