While I made it to the final rounds for both shows, I did not make the final cut.
It was a great opportunity for an amateur to compete against the professionally trained.
Thank you Julia for posting the notices.

Thanks, Poppy! And congrats for making it as far as you did - that's an accomplishment in and of itself!
I have connections with a couple of casting agencies through some of my other work, so I'll continue to post casting calls as I get information about them.
Stay tuned, and best of luck in any next go-round! (Who they cast is a function of much more than training, so one never knows what's in store!)
I doubt they were trying to let you down easy, though they should have said they were seeking pros at the start so as not to waste everyone's time.
I am just now seeing this post and did not know the shows were posted here, as I was contacted by the Casting agency for the Holiday cookie show. I was up for this as well, went through lots of interviews, pics etc and was told the same about personality, qualifications. I am a self taught cookier who is extremely proud of my experience and cookies business that I have built from the ground up..Whimsy Cookie Company and I am very proud to even to have been considered for this show. You should be proud as well! Great job!

congrats poppy I was elated to know you entered and that you were interviewed I am especially proud for you that you were in the final cut
My first thought was that they didn't say one had to be professional and after reading julia I agree with her - they should have indicated that in their release...
